About the event
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY:
In addition to a USA Hockey membership and SCAHA Season Passcode, ALL PLAYERS and a PARENT of each player is now required to complete the Anti-Bullying & Inclusion training BEFORE they can be rostered with a team. This is a CAHA requirement of all players, regardless of age group, level of play, or club. A parent must complete this first, before a player can complete their portion.
To be eligible for tryouts and possible roster placement...
Register with USA Hockey:
Visit USA Hockey Registration.
Complete the registration process for your player and pay the required fees.
Upon completion, you'll receive a confirmation number—please retain this for tryout registration. We suggest printing the confirmation page and bringing it with you to tryouts.
Obtain a SCAHA Season Passcode:
After registering with USA Hockey, you'll receive a confirmation email. You will need your player’s new USA Hockey membership number in order to obtain a SCAHA season passcode. The SCAHA Season Passcode is free.
Visit the SCAHA website.
Login, or if you’re new to SCAHA, create an account.
After logging in, locate the “Register for SCAHA” link at the top of the page.
Complete the registration.
Upon completion, you’ll receive a SCAHA Season Passcode. Be sure to bring that with you to tryouts as well.
Complete the CAHA Anti-Bullying Training:
Visit CAHA Anti-Bullying Training.
A parent or legal guardian must complete the adult training module first. If you completed it last year, use the same login information. If you’re new to the training, create an account.
Parent, complete the online training module. Record the adult’s certificate number. This will be required for the player to complete the process.
Player, complete the online training module for your age group. Your USA Hockey Number and Parent’s AB&I training certificate number will be required.
Each training can take approximately 30 to 35 minutes per person, at minimum, so please plan accordingly and allow enough time for both the parent and player to complete the requirement prior to tryouts.
Print or save the player’s completion certificate and bring it to your tryout session.
If you have questions, instructions are available on the CAHA website, under the topic “CAHA AB&I Training Instructions.”
We strongly suggest completing this process on a computer, preferably using Chrome, as opposed to a smart phone, as families seem to have had greater success this way.
